Jag has been involved with the Chapter for more than a decade - as a volunteer leader as well as a board member. His commitment to the project management community started in the year 2004 when he earned the Project Management Professional certification from Project Management Institute. Jag has been involved with Toastmasters International for nearly five years. His commitment to the Toastmasters community started when he found a perfect place to improve his public speaking skills - the Toastmasters clubs. He has achieved both competent communicator and competent leader awards and currently pursuing Distinguished Toastmaster award. Sacramento County
Jag’s interest to learn and understand the two important function of a local government - community development and law enforcement - led him to serving on the two Sacramento County Boards. He was appointed to Vineyard Community Planning Advisory Council (CPAC) and Sheriff Outreach Community Advisory Board (SOCAB) by the Sacramento County District 5 Supervisor, Don Nattoli. While serving on CPAC, Jag participated in several land development, zoning, and general and community plan update workshops as well as conducted month community planning meetings. While serving on SOCAB, Jag attended the Citizens Academy and built a solid understanding of law enforcement and criminal justice system .Here is the summary of his current and past roles.

Cal Expo State Fair . Cal Expo Cultural Advisory Council
Jag is passionate about learning other cultures. He believes the cultures are deep rooted practices that define who we are and learning about other cultures is a way to develop new perspectives. By joining Cal Expo Cultural Advisory Council, Jag had a unique opportunity to work with fellow council members, who are from diverse background and cultures. As a member of the council, he actively participates in the annual State Fair and supports the Board’s mission. Here is the summary of his current and past roles.

Indian Community Cultural Organizations
India Association of Davis . Kannada Sangha of Sacramento
Jag has led two Indian community organizations - India Association of Davis and Kannada Sangha of Sacramento - in carrying out its mission. These two organizations were established to showcase the Indian culture to the local communities. In addition, these two organizations were a conduit to Indian community’s need for support and a forum for exchange of ideas for helping each other. Jag has led several fund raising efforts, organized cultural events, and built a strong relationships with the Indian community members. Here is the summary of his current and past roles.

Cal-IPGCA Alumni Association
In 2017, Jag graduated from California Innovation Playbook for Government Change Agents, an experiential learning and leadership program. The program was focused on leading and managing innovation and change with in the California Government. After the program was ended, along with fellow graduates of 2017, Jag helped create an Alumni association. He was also the founding president of the association and led effort to create by-laws and strategy planning sessions. Here is the summary of his current and past roles.
